Surviving Somerset Hills

Residential Treatment Centers

A Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is a Behavior Modification Program and an industry that has thrived for decades despite constant allegations of child abuse, neglect, dangerous treatment practices, and negligence resulting in death.

Thousands of children and teens are held within the this industry every year. Due to lack of government oversight, these Residential Treatment Centers operate with near impunity. Children, between the ages of 5-18 years old, can be held against their will, with no due process or criminal charges for an undetermined amount of time, sometimes years.

Taylor began vomiting around Dec. 13 and had an “elevated” heart rate, fever and low blood pressure, and she asked to go to a hospital, according to the review panel’s findings this week. She had pale skin and her stomach became distended. However, Diamond Ranch Academy did not bring her to see a doctor and did not bring a physician to campus to see her. E-mails to OUR senator

These are emails to the senator that were pushed aside 3 times until I CC’d his assemblyman. Even then, it was swept under the rug.
